    Flickering light on PD-6ANS

    Hello,

I recently moved into a new apartment and wanted to install Lutron Caseta smart switches. I followed instructions to get the smart switch installed. However, when the switch is in the “off” position, my ceiling light (2 led bulbs) flicker. This happens every 1-2 seconds. The smart switch works wirelessly and turns off and on without any issues.

I tried to install a different PD-6ANS on a different area and had the same issue.
I suspect that it is a bulb issue. Any advice?
    Thanks in advance!

Hello claytongillen, welcome to the Forums. We are sorry to hear about the issue you have encountered. This is an LED issue known as ghosting where a small amount of current powering the switch in the Off state is trickling to the lighting load in the Off state. This can be rectified by switching to a different (possibly higher-wattage) LED bulb, or a more resistive load like an incandescent or halogen bulb. Alternatively, the ghosting can also be eliminated by installing a Lutron shunt capacitor model LUT-MLC along with the circuit. See the below install guide for an illustration of this install:

    We hope this helps!
