    Upload issues

I have a HomeWorks system. It was originally QS and we upgraded to QSX hoping it would help. There are no type-x devices. I have DIN modules, wired keypads, wired shades, some rf - repeaters, lamp dimmers, tabletops. There are 2 processors.

EVERY TIME I upload I get 99 failures. That's everything in the system. I have to click retry 4 or 5 times to get the devices updated. I've tried WiFi and wired. I've even plugged in to the 2nd port on the processor. EVERY TIME - 99 failures. EVERY TIME. It takes an hour to get an upload. EVERY TIME.

    Any ideas?

You try hitting Repair Project File? I have seem load times that long (and longer) before but not with all my devices failing. Also have you tried rebooting processor? Try with only one or a few devices connected on the link and see if those defices load successfully? Maybe a wiring issue on one of your links.

I did. I called tech support about a different issue at a different client. I asked him about this issue while we were waiting for an upload. He found the issue almost immediately.

The system has 2 processors. Processor 1 has a QS link with 95 devices and an RF link. Processor 2 has a QS link. The QS link on processor 1 had 95 devices. I have 6 shade panels in the project. I did not activate the shade panels only the connected shades. However, both the QS and QSX software recognized the panels as QS devices and associated them with the QS link. It did not assign them to the link. Somewhere in the background it included them in the device count. This put the link over the limit. The upload only listed 99 errors. It never indicated I had too many devices on the link. I added a 3rd processor and split the QS devices between them. My upload went from 35-45 minutes with 99+ errors to 6 minutes with 1 error (a lamp dimmer that the daughter unplugs).

I never link assign the shade panels either. Kinda messed up that they are assigning themselves. Why do they not document this anywhere???
