Purpose of Lock Action

Please explain the application purpose and functionality of the Lock Action Menu when assigning lighting zones to buttons.

You program a "party mode" button when entertaining. You want to make sure some keypads or buttons are deactivated while that mode is true. You would "lock" those keypads or buttons to ensure they could not be activated. An Away or all off button might be locked when Party Mode was triggered. If Security mode you might want to "lock" keypads until the mode was deactivated.
