Can I select which areas get cover plates in software / BOM?

Is there a way to exclude cover plates from certain areas? For instance, one job I'm working on for a very very detailed customer has beautiful wall paper covered cover plates in their dining room so they don't to replace them with Lutron's, but in other areas of the house they do want new cover plates. Is there an option I'm not seeing where I can go to the dining room and just remove the coverplate so it doesn't show up in the bill of material? Currently, I have to keep track of these things manually and then if something changes, go back and manually change it again. I've gotten in the habit of using the software itself for estimates so it would save some hassle. I could have sworn that I saw someone do this at a workshop I was at
