I'm replacing a simple toggle switch with Lutron DVCL-153P dimmer. See pic for the wires I currently have in this box. Dimmer pdf shows I have to make 2 connections plus ground. How should I proceed with this install

[QUOTE=konetzke4;47467]I'm replacing a simple toggle switch with Lutron DVCL-153P dimmer. See pic for the wires I currently have in this box. Dimmer pdf shows I have to make 2 connections plus ground. How should I proceed with this install.
Update....lets try this again. I thought i could attach a picture but not finding a way to do that. I have a single 14-2 wire in my existing box....not a 14-2 in and 14-2 out. The white goes to one side of existing switch and the black to the other. The pdf diagram that came with new Lutron dimmer switch shows the white wires wire nutted together with 2 blacks wires. One black goes to red on switch and the other black goes to black on switch. I don't have that many wires?
Based on your description:
- The black wire from your wallbox will connect to the black lead on the DVCL-153P.
- The white wire from your wallbox will connect to the red lead on the DVCL-153P.
- Connect the green wire from the DVCL-153P to the ground in your wallbox.
- Use a blue wire connector to cap off the red/white wire.
