Button on ST-6B-I keypads no longer activates portion of assigned load

Im working with an older HomeWorks QS system that has both wired and RF devices on it. Recently several wired HWD-8ANS switches (sconces and deck lights) stopped responding to commands from wired 6 button keypads throughout the house. These two switches are only part of the entire scene assigned to this keypad button (exterior lights) and the rest of the devices assigned to exterior lights, all of which are wired HWD-8ANS's, work just fine. The two switches work when they are physically activated so they are getting power and technically function. Ive gone into programming to try reprogramming the exterior lights button but when I try assigning loads the sconce and deck light switches say they are not communicating or connecting to the processor despite being physically connected to it and other wired devices on the same QS Link working just fine. Ive been on the phone with tech support several times, and they weren't able to help. Any and all help is very much appreciated!

First and foremost, we're talking about ST keypads with an HWD switch. Most likely these guys just failed. I know that's not what you want to hear but it's most likely what's going to start to happen as these devices age.

For the sake of argument however;
-Have you tried reassigning this 8ANS to another bus on the H48 board?
-Have you been able to control the 8ANS via terminal?
-What software version are you on?
-What happened that started this problem?
-Do all the other buttons on the 6 button keypads still work?
-Have you tried moving programming to another button on the keypad to test if that failed?
