I have a 5000 sq ft house and so it was clear that one smart Bridge was not going to cut it in terms of RF coverage or the number of devices. Thus, I have three Smart Bridge Pro 2's.

Just saw this tidbit in the release notes of the Caseta Wireless iOS app on the Apple App Store:

Extend the wireless range of your Caseta Smart Bridge with a Plug-in Dimmer
    - If there is an area of your home where you would like to add Lutron devices but is out of range of your Smart Bridge, you can now add a Plug-in Dimmer to add coverage.
    - Configure one Plug-in Dimmer in the app under Settings > Advanced

Seems like the answer for a lot of folks, and cheaper than many work arounds. Wonder if you can have multiple Dimmers daisy chain together to reach the furthest places...

Wow! Even if it's only small extension of the range once this is great news!!!

    From the updated iOS app:

"If you are experiencing issues with unreachable device(s), you can add one Plug-In Dimmer to you system. This Plug-In Dimmer should be installed between the Smart Bridge and the unreachable device(s), and it will then act as the only range extender.

A range extender can improve the range of your Smart Bridge by 30 feet."

No word on if it increases the number of devices beyond 50 or if you can set which dimmer is the range extender.

We figured out in another thread that by default, the first lamp dimmer added to a new system becomes the range extender. However, if this dimmer is removed, the next lamp dimmer to be added takes its place as the extender. So the user can effectively choose which dimmer is used, but it's not as simple as selecting it in the app.

Only one plug-in dimmer can be used as a range extender, but I still think that it will help a lot of users!

We're still at a 50 device limit, but I can confirm that the plug-in dimmer will give you another 30 feet.
