Maybe a dumb question -- can you manually open/close Lutron Serena motorized shades?

This sounds silly but the one thing holding up the decision to get these (wired) shades is whether they become useless in the event of a power outage (or societal collapse, lol). Do not want the battery version. Can they be manually opened/closed, or do you absolutely *have* to use the motor? Will we be the idiots in the big winter storm (or zombie/climate apocalypse) who have expensive blinds that don't work?

Hello Serena Motorized Shades must be controlled via the motor of the shade. Manually pulling the shade can permanently damage the motor of the shade. They are not designed to be manually pulled or rolled up. Lutron does offer manual shades which can be controlled via a chain and bead or cordless with springs.
