    Ceiling fan DC motor control

Has anyone heard if Lutron is researching the lack of Caseta switch control on fans with a DC motor? I have two large fans (78”) that are DC in my new home and I would like to integrate them into my Caseta ecosystem.

    Hello 63GBPackerfan,

DC fan motors can be installed on our Caseta on/off switches (e.g. PD-6ANS and DVRF-5NS). The PD-6ANS can handle a maximum of 3.6 A general purpose fan load while the DVRF-5NS can handle 3 A. However, we do not currently have a solution to control DC fan motor speed. The PD-FSQN can only be used on AC, pull-chain style fans. For more information on the load types that Caseta controls support, please refer to our specification guide here: assets.lutron.com/a/documents/369987_eng.pdf
