Extending range to a pool house

Client had a about 20 Lutron Caseta switches installed by the electrician. Client is having trouble adding the two switches located in the pool house which is about 40' from the main house and about 55" from the closest Lutron Caseta switch. There is a hardwired network connection with a network switch and a wireless access point in the pool house if this will help getting the two switches working.

    Suggestions?

I did the A/V in the home and volunteered to help solve the problem.

    Hello,

The Caseta switches communicate directly to the Caseta Smart Hub. For reliable communication they should be within 30 feet of the hub. If a larger range is needed, 1 PD-REP-WH Caseta Repeater can be added to the system to extend the signal another 30 feet omnidirectionally. This must be installed within 30 feet of the smart hub.

Alternatively, adding another smart hub in the pool house connected to the ethernet switch will allow you to add the two devices to that hub. However, this will appear as a second "home" within the clients Lutron account. The two hubs can not communicate with each other. Any integrations, schedules, and scenes will have to be programmed separately.
