Delete Rooms in Lutron App

Hello, I moved into a new house and inherited a Caseta system. There are roughly 20 dimmers but over 30 rooms in the system which are meaningless to me. For example, "Annie's Office." I can't seem to delete this, or rename it. I would prefer to delete it. When I try to rename it "Office" it says that that name already exists. Perhaps I'm going about this in the wrong way. Any guidance/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Currently, the only way to remove a custom-named room would be to change the name to something else, it's just that the choice "Office" does already exist as a room in the list. You could try renaming it to "My Office" or to another room name that you would use for a different device.

We are constantly looking for improvements we can make with the Lutron app, so I will forward this suggestion for a way to delete room names to the appropriate project manager and the app development team for further consideration.

I have a rather extensive Caséta System installed, and found myself in the same situation. I was re-arranging / moving my Devices between rooms, to accommodate my current set up. I had to create Room "BedRm 2" and "BedRm 3", to just get back to Room "Bedroom". It would be nice to be able to cleanup the un-needed rooms. I assume this would also make the Lutron App operate faster also, with less information on board.

Hi, I am having the problem that the "default" rooms (e.g. the kitchen, dining room, living room) are somehow named in Spanish by the previous owner, so they show up as "Cocina", "Sala de estar", etc.

And I can't create my custom "Kitchen" because it says that that name is already taken.

My whole app shows up in English, so it's not the phone's language setting.

I would like to rename "Cocina" to "Kitchen", how do I do that?

Our suspicion is that the previous homeowner may have set up the system in Spanish. When the system is set up in Spanish and a new owner takes control of the system, the rooms keep their names even if the new owner has their phone set up to be English only.

Can you please try editing the device and move it into a new room? Then, please try moving it back. This should allow the system to correctly pull in the English equivalent.

Why is that we are able to “Add”, and “Edit” the listing of Rooms in the Caséta System, but not “Delete”. Why does the App come Pre-Loaded with so many Rooms already. Wouldn’t it make tha App run / operate much faster without all that extra information / confusion.

Without the ability to “Delete”, we’re not able “Clean-Up” mistakes / typos or pare down the system. It just keeps getting “Bigger”

We understand the Lutron app lacks the ability to remove rooms. Having unwanted rooms can definitely make the app look cluttered, but we do not believe this will slow down the performance of the system. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and we will be happy to forward it to our app team.
