    MS-OPS5MH Sensitivity Setting

I installed this switch in a bathroom. Single pole in combination with another light and fan switch. I have the sensitivity mode set to low. The light will come on walking by the bathroom door at a distance. I thought it was sensing off the mirror. But even with the door closed and maybe a 2 inch gap the light will engage just walking down the hallway past the bathroom. No that is sensitive haa. Any suggestions?

    Hello,

Aside from the sensitivity programming you had already tried adjusting, you can try covering the portion motion-sensing window with an opaque tape (like electrical, painter, or masking tape) that you do not want the switch to sense the motion of. Alternatively, you can replace the MS-OPS5M motion sensor switch with a wireless-enabled switch and pair said switch to wireless motion sensor that you can mount in a location that only picks up motion within the bathroom (such as on the ceiling or the wall above the door).

So what would be the part number of the wireless-enabled switch with the wireless sensor? Sound s like what is needed....

    Hello,

The most commonly-available option would be with our Caseta Wireless family of controls. The wireless motion sensor model is the PD-OSENS which can wirelessly pair to any of the Caseta in-wall controls, whether it be a dimmer or a switch. There are two models of Caseta Motion Sensor, the PD-OSENS is the occupancy and vacancy sensing model, whereas the PD-VSENS is only vacancy sensing.

If you don't need any sort of dimming control, the Original Smart Switch model PD-5ANS or PD-6ANS (same exact device, except 5ANS is a 5A neutral-based switch and the 6ANS is a 6A neutral-based switch) or the Smart Claro DVRF-5NS (also a 5A neutral-based switch). If you do not have a neutral-bundle in the wall-box for the switch to tie in to, you would need the Original Smart Switch PRO model PD-5WS-DV.

Linked here are the Caseta Support site pages for the above: Original Smart Switches, Smart Claro Switch, Caseta Motion Sensors
