I have a Macl- 153m dimmer switch which was working well with halogen 9g bulbs, but as soon as installed led bulbs into the wall mounted 3 light fixture the dimmer would not work. As well when I turned the dimmer off, the bulbs still remain illuminated. I should mention that if I used only 2 led bulbs and left in 1 halogen the dimmer works somewhat and allows the bulbs to decrease in brightness and also turns the fixture off. I am puzzled. Is there a solution?

All dimmers have a minimum load rating. For the MACL it could be as low as 1 LED or 25w of incandescent. leaving 1 halogen in probably meets the minimum load requirement.

You may be able to eliminate the ghosting by adjusting the low end trim. There is a dial under the plate. It may also be a compatibility issue.
Make sure the bulbs are dimmable with incandescent/leading edge/forward phase.

Thanks randy, I’ll try that. The bulbs are dimmable I’m told by the specialty lighting store. They are from DVI, Dominion.
