Radio Powr Savr wireless occupancy/vacancy sensors

First off... long time lurker / first time poster. This forum and you all are great, I've answered so many questions here, thank you all!!!!

I have a RadioRa2 system and I'm looking to add some occupancy/vacancy sensors, specifically the "Radio Powr Savr wireless sensors".

The published doc says: "Requires load controller". It also says: "*** Meets this requirement when paired with proper load control" and well as "Works with load controllers using reliable Clear Connect® Technology"
    367-1768.pdf (lutron.com)

How do I tell if I need the load controllers or not?

    thank you!

What they are trying to say is that the RPS sensors don't directly control the load. You need a dimmer (like a RA2 dimmer) to control the load. The RPS tells the dimmer what to do. In-wall sensors, like Maestro Occupancy sensors, have the sensor and load control in one device.

RPS sensors will work without a control system (like RA2). The advantage of using the control system is easier programming and more flexibility. You could have a sensor in the master bedroom turn on lights in the kitchen.
