Thread: Sunnata LED+ or Pro LED+ for this fixture?

  1. #1

Question Sunnata LED+ or Pro LED+ for this fixture?

    Hi,

Just bought a new home, and it came with these LED light fixtures everywhere: Traverse LED Lyte LED Modules White Recessed Fixture, T24 3000K 90CRI.

I want to use the Sunnata dimmer switches and wanted to know if I need the Pro LED+ or just the LED+. I'd be putting them in single switch scenarios as well as 3-way. Is it true that you can only use the accessory switch in the second switch location or can both have the dimmable switch? One of the product descriptions I found says "Dimmable down to 5 percent with ELV or Triac dimmer" so it seems that I need the PRO LED+ version.

In any case, here are the specs for the lights from the link:

    Color Rendering Index: 90
    Color Temperature: 3000K
    Dimmable: Yes
    Lamping Category: LED
Lamping Features: Bulb Dimming Range Min: 5Bulb Dimming Range Max: 100Bulb Watts Consumed: 13
    Lamping Included: Bulbs Included
    Lamping Type: LED Modules
    Lead Wire Length: 6.5
    Lumens: 850
    Primary Number of Bulbs: 1
    Socket: Integrated
    Total Number of Bulbs: 1
    Voltage: 120
    Wattage Max: 13.00

Hi there. Welcome to the forum! Yes, it would be recommended to use the ST-PRO-N model for these lights. ELV dimming is typically better from a performance standpoint than TRIAC dimming. Also, on the installation instructions, it only shows ELV as a compatible dimming option. To answer your question, with the PRO model, you can have a master dimmer at one location and an accessory dimmer at the other. This will allow you to dim from both locations.
