    4-way -- Will this work?

I'm interesting in transitioning from Diva/Claro smart switches to dumb switches in our house. We want the 2 guest bedrooms/closets/bathrooms to be remain dumb switches. The design of the house works great -- but there is one two gang box that would have a Claro and a dumb toggle. She doesn't like this. Unfortunately that is a 4 way hallway switch in the part of the house with Decora style paddles (Claro/Diva).

I'm going to test tomorrow to see if I have two "travelers" between the two hallway switches. I'm pretty sure I do. I was hoping this would work if I did.

Thanks for any insight. I guess trial and error will tell the tale.

It won't work. The blue lead is a communication wire. It won't power the a light.

If you connect the red traveler (currently shown connected to the blue) to the power side of the claro/diva that will give you constant power to the 2nd light and allow the 3-ways to work.
