    DVRF vs DVCL

New to Lutron and exploring potential for a new residential build. Looking through the Casetawireless website, I see that the DVRF-6L is the Diva dimmer. Searching a local big box store, I see that model available for about $70/per.

Searching the same big box store for "Diva" returns a number of options, including a 6-pack for about $150, quite a price difference per unit. The model number for this is DVCL-153PR. They both seem to Diva's for 120V LED, Halogen and Incandescent bulbs. Obviously a different switch. The DVRF-6L has blue packaging, the DVCL-153PR has green packaging. They are both Diva's, but is this one an older model? Different technology? Trying to understand the differences!

    Thanks!

The DVCL-153PR is not a smart dimmer and can't be connected to a Caseta Wireless system.

The DVRF-6L, with its blue packaging, is a wireless dimmer designed for use with Lutron's Caseta Wireless system. This system allows you to control your lights wirelessly through a smart device or a Pico remote. The DVRF-6L offers the convenience of wireless control and is a great choice if you're looking for a connected lighting solution for your residential build.
