Thread: Ground wire and terminal? Use both?

Ground wire and terminal? Use both?

I have an RD that I need to relocate and it has both the usual Lutron grounding wire threaded into the faceplate and a ground terminal screw. I typically see one or the other. The wire is a little loose, so I’d want to use the screw (probably would anyway), but should I connect both the wire and screw to ground, or just cap the wire? I suppose electrically it doesn’t matter, but what’s best practice?

Never mind, I mistook the blue screw for a green one. Must remember to use my glasses.

You can’t wire just two of anything in both series and parallel. But with three or more, you can create various combinations of series-parallel. Panels are made of many 0.6V cells, generally connected in series to get a reasonable voltage.

Nothing can be wired in both series and parallel with simply two components. However, you can generate a variety of series-parallel combinations with three or more. In order to obtain a suitable voltage, panels are typically constructed from many 0.6V cells connected in series.
