Remote Access
I’m a Radio RaX installer and am doing my first Caseta job. I know I saw somewhere that you can control lights when away from the home but I can’t seem to figure out how to make it work. It works for other Lutron systems and I hope it does for Caseta too.
My question is am I wasting my time? Does remote control work natively in Caseta? Is there router config that needs to be done? Any help would be much appreciated.

I believe the app always connects remotely. If the internet is down you can't use the app even if you are standing in the house.

Thanks Randy
The thing is, it works fine when your connected to their network. Just not when you are not. That’s why I think something may be blocking it. What I really want to know is if it’s supposed to work. I don’t see much info in it. Sounds like you’re saying yes so I’ll keep digging. Thanks

Location permissions for the Lutron App and cellular data have to be enabled for the app within the phone settings. Also, the system has to be set up to a users email and password to then use the remote access. You cannot do this is Pro Installer mode.

Thanks All!
I had them try it again and it works. Could have been many things. Thanks so much for your advice.
