Thread: Single light connected to both buttons of MA-L3S25?

Single light connected to both buttons of MA-L3S25?

Maybe a ridiculously stupid question, but I'm looking for a light switch to (a) control a single load, and (b) have two buttons where one button turns the light full on and the second button turns the light on to a preset dim level. The MA-L3S25 switch has the right button configuration but is designed to control two separate loads. Can I connect a single light to both buttons?

A good option would be the Caseta PD-5NE dimmer. It has a full on button, a preset button in the middle, and an off button. It also has the raise and lower dimming buttons.

That is a good option, and does appear to address our need, even if it is overkill. I'm not familiar with he Caseta product line and it's certainly a high priced option, but does look like it's worth a look. Thanks for the tip!

Make sure you put the 5NE in the proper mode for your lights. It can do forward and reverse phase.
