Can I use the PD-6WCL-WH-R as just a switch for non-dimmable lights?

I have outdoor lights by my porch and garage which have the LED bulbs built in. Even though I can use the Lutron switch (Non-dimmable), I was wondering if I could use the dimmable switch to control these lights just on and off without issues. I would like to schedule them to come on at night and off during the day. The reason I was thinking of going with the dimmable version was in case I upgrade the light fixtures down the road to use bulbs or dimmable LEDS, it would be nice to have the dimmable switch already in place.

    Thanks!

No. The dimmer uses a triac which rapidly turns the light on/off. It adjusts how many times per second it cycles to get the desired light level. You can not bypass the triac.

The maximum output of the dimmer is 90%, While you can adjust the high end trim, you can never get that 10% back.

The combination of these 2 features will cause non-dim LEDs to behave erratically.

Thanks so much Randy! I was concerned there might be issues but thought I would ask before purchasing it. Thanks for explaining and responding!
