Thread: New adhesive backing for pico remote?

  1. #1

New adhesive backing for pico remote?

I remodeled my bathroom and had to pull off a couple of pico remotes. I'd like to put them back up but I am out of the little adhesive backings they slide into.

Is there a way to buy more? I looked at buying a wall mount kit but I wasn't sure if that includes the adhesive bit or just the wall mount bit.

Try some of the Scotch/3M double-sided tape. The clear stuff that looks like regular single-side tape.

I thought about throwing a regular command strip on there or similar. But I'm missing the little plastic insert that goes in the back of the pico ... so the surface isn't totally flat.

Was hoping I could get another one somewhere.

Hello. Have you considered using the PICO-WBX-ADAPT with a CW-1-WH wallplate? https://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocu...structions.pdf

Yes. But the plan was to stick this somewhere inconspicuous in my shower. The wall plate is kinda big for that. :/

It does seem kindof expensive to spend $20 on a Pico just to get that insert. I would call Lutron customer service. The might mail you one. I'd give that a 50/50 chance. It mostly depends on who answers the call.

You could try filling in the space with paper or cardboard. It doesn't have to be structural it just has to keep the Pico from wobbling when you press it. The command strip on the upper half should hold it in place.
