Thread: Can I control ceiling fan speed & light on/off/dim w Caseta switch?

  1. #1

Question Can I control ceiling fan speed & light on/off/dim w Caseta switch?

I have a hard wired Kichler ceiling fan/light. Which caset switch/dimmer will control it and allow both dimming and speed control? If not, is there a third party work around?Volos 48 Inch Flush Mount Fan with Light Kit by Kichler Lighting

The only way to control both the lights and fan on a compatible ceiling fan would be two separate Caseta switches.

So, if i were to use just one caseta switch, which function would it control.....i would prefer to have it operate the fan and forgo the light.....that way I can add the fan to a scene on my Apple Home Kit app.....when I arrive home.

Just re-read your original post and you said the fan is hard wired. So you don't have any wall switches that control the fan and/or light? For the typical DIY Caseta installation, you replace an existing wall switch with a Caseta Wireless wall switch.
