I've installed latest Windows 11 and Lutron Designer v 22.6.0.9046 doesn't run. It spins for like 10 minutes before saying "Encountered an error opening the application".
I'm running an HP ENVY X360 15-ew0xx, with core i7 1.7 GHz and 16GB of RAM. 64-bit OS x64 processor.

Issue(s) Resolved: (latest versions of RA2 and QS would not install, other apps functioned erratically)
In September I decided to lose Win 11 and revert to Win 10. Began the process and discovered a newer version of Win 11 available. Decided to give the new version a chance.
Remove the old Win11. Install Win 11 Version 22H2 (or newer). Issues including installation and/or functional issues with RA2, QS, RTI Pro Control and scanner apps disappeared.
NOTE: issues are deeply embedded in a few kernals. Windows updates and new drivers will not fix kernal issues. A newer Win 11 or reverting to Win 10 is the only fix.

Looks like I have the following Windows, which is not working for me:
Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 22H2
Installed on 12/1/2022
OS build 22621.900
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22638.1000.0
Can you check if you have something different? Thank you so much for replying Bradley.

Using WIN11 Pro
OS Build 22621.819
Exp 1000.22636.1000.0
I have 2 MacBooksPro Laptops
(1) 2016 16" running VMWare, Win10, just updated to Ventura, so far so good, in regards to no changes in Win10-VMWare
(1) 2022 16" ARM, Running Win11 for now... just got it and just installed
Would like to get RA2 running so I don't have to upgrade everyone to RA3... haha.
Anyone got the Win11 to work with 12.10 RA2? and or 12.0
I have some clients still on this, without the Bridge.
But I am getting ahead of myself.
With the 2022 16", we just installed Win11 with Parallels, fresh install.
URC Total Control seems to be good... and will be installing RA3.
Got RA2 to boot up and running but does not discover the Proc or Bridge (Office system as example)
Thoughts... I am hardlined through USB-C to Network jack
I made a mistake a few months back, and upgrades my Office Desktop to Windows 11. Since then I have been un-able to get Designer to run on this computer.
Here is a list of things i have tried:
1. delete all versions of Lutron software and re-install fresh.
2. delete all versions of Lutron software, re-install starting with Ver 6, and try and work up to current, Highest version that will run is Ver. 8
3. Every time I Install, I do so as Administrator
4. Every tine I run Program I do as Administrator
5. I re-try install after every Windows 11 update or Lutron Update.
6. With Designer 22, that just came out i have gotten a bit closer, it gets much closer to running, and actually gives me an error code now. See below......
My first time attempting to use lutron designer i get this error while trying to finish the download on my laptop “The file *C: Program Files (x86) \ Lutron \Lutron Designer 22.8.1.11089* is not a valid installation package for the product Lutron Designer 22.8.1.11089.
Try to find the installation package "Lutron Designer (22.8.1.11089 mi' in a folder from which you can install
Lutron Designer 22.8.1.11089.”
I downloaded everything it told me to i don’t understand how the software isnt on my laptop when it is
In case you don't succeed, you can try to buy windows 10 key cheap. There is a lot of information about it now in various sources. If that doesn't work, you could also try reinstalling the application and ensuring that you have all the necessary system requirements.
I found a newer, later version of Windows 11 addressed the kernel issue which lay at the heart of the install problem for Designer and other app/software packages. Thank you.
Brad -- as mentioned above, there is a kernel issue in Win11 which prevents installation of some apps/software. This was fixed in the later versions of Win11
I haven't personally tested RA2 on Windows 11 yet, but sometimes these compatibility issues can be a bit tricky. It's great that URC Total Control seems to be working well, and it's a good sign that you got RA2 to boot up, even though it's not discovering the Proc or Bridge as expected.
