    Can i do this?

Hi everyone. Caseta newbie here. I have the bridge and have successfully added dimmer and switches around the house. However, i have one room that is used the most but i cant get to cooperate with me.

Our house had a wall switch that controlled one plug (the bottom outlet) in a normal outlet. In order to have it control The lamps on either side of our couch, we had to run an extension cord, and this was dangerous with pets and 2 young kids. I have a Caseta dimmer switch in it’s place, and got a caseta dimmer plug for the light on the couch’s opposite side. I have a pico on the opposite side of the room that controls both lights, but the caseta wall switch will not control the scene for both lights…only the one that is controlled on that original plug.

What am i doing wrong? Or can a wall switch not control a plug-in dimmer caseta switch?

    Thanks

You are not doing anything wrong. The wall-switch will not control anything except what is physically wired to it. The plug-in dimmer is the same - it will only control what is plugged into it.
