Anyone tested IKEA LEDARE lights with Caseta?

    Hey All,

I am setting up Caseta through the house. But will also be replacing the lighting in the kitchen soon with an IKEA light. At the time we bought the lights, we bought the ikea Dimmable lights (link below). They are GU10 base, 6W dimmable, and the light will have 5 lights on the rail.

I see the caeta official list which has some GU10 on there, but not the IKEA ones, so before i crack open $45 woth of LEDs. wanted to check and see if anyone else has used them in their house and can confirm they work. Otherwise, might return them and get the officially tested brands.

    Thanks

Lutron hasn't tested any LEDs made by LEDARE or IKEA. The only LEDs that are recommended can be found on either http://www.lutron.com/technicaldocum..._Bulb_list.pdf (see pages 46-59 for Caseta) or using the following LED tool: http://www.lutron.com/en-US/Service-...merMatrix.aspx .

Thanks Brian, I understood that there was no formal successful testing completed or released by Lutron. Was hoping that someone on the forum may have used them and found them operational with the Caseta Dimmers anyway.

So I added the Lutron switches to the kitchen, and unfortunately, there is a light buzzing from the overhead lights using the ikea LEDs. At present, not very noticeable as there is a vent in the kitchen that runs 24 hours, so the noise is covered up, but if i get close and focus on the different sounds, its definitely noticeable.

The under cabinet lights (unknown brand) also emit a low buzzing sound which can be heard if you get up very close. And not sure that there are any appropriate undercabinet LED lights on the approved list so will be stuck with these for a while.

Trying to find appropriate GU10 globes for the overhead and google is little help. Of the 8 on the tested list, only one seemed to be findable being a Feit 6.5W. The Philips isn't even on the list of current globes issued by Philips anymore. Given the Feits are $16 per globe, think i will hold off on spending $80 on new globes until other projects are completed.

Should we assume that guide covers the new Caseta 250 watt pro version?

Yes it does. The LED bulbs recommended for the Caseta Pro dimmer (PD-10NXD) specifically are on pages 55-58.
