    Caseta Buzz

    Hello,

I installed a Caseta Dimmer with a pico remote so that I can add three way functionality to my lights without running a new wire. There is a switch loop running off of the hardwired switch, so I cannot run a new wire without having box fill issues.

The dimmer and remote function, but there is an audible buzz coming from the bulbs themselves once the switch was installed. I do not want to replace the bulbs, because they are extra bright LED corn bulbs for my garage. This buzz did not occur with the switch hardwired in.

I cannot find any bulb compatibility list for the basic switch, such as the 6ANS. If I install one of those, will this eliminate any buzz?

Hello. Moving to the PD-6ANS should eliminate the buzz as it has a neutral connection and is not a dimmer. The buzzing you hear is most likely the result of the dimming signal interacting with the integrated LED drivers in the lights.
