    MIR remote

We received this question from a customer, and thought others might be interested in this topic...

Can I control MIR dimmers in the same wallbox separately with separate remotes?

    RE: MIR remote

Unfortunatley not, the MIR remotes infared beam to control the dimmers and whichever dimmer(s) that recieves the beam will be effected. So if two dimmers are next to each other, they will both recieve the same input and respond accordingly.

What if they are on different walls? Will the switches still pick up the same signal?

    amyriley,

Maestro IR is a line of sight control. If the IR signal bounces off the wall and the dimmers on the other wall see it, or in light of sight, they will be affected by the IR commands.
