    Lamp dimmer PD-3PCL is off but apps tell me it's on

    Hi everyone. I have several of these plug-in lamp dimmers (PD-3PCL) in my house and all them work perfectly except for one. One dimmer in particular sends erroneous info to the apps indicating that the lamp is on when it is not. Both the Lutron app and the Apple HomeKit app often tell me that this light is at some random percentage, so I walk over to the light and take a look— and it’s off. Any ideas what’s causing this? Do I have a defective dimmer?

    Hello, There is a chance that this dimmer may be out of range from your Caseta bridge if it is beyond 30 ft from said bridge. If you move it closer to the bridge and it still does not respond correctly, you might need to reach out to tech support for additional troubleshooting and potentially a replacement if it is deemed to be defective.

    This dimmer is located approximately 5 feet from the Lutron bridge.

    According to the Lutron app the dimmer in question is serving as a range extender.

    Would you be able to send us a support file from your bridge so we can take a deeper look into the issue you are running into?In order to get the bridge logs that we need, please do the following:- Make sure your smartphone is connected to the same WiFi network as the Caseta bridge.- In the Caseta app, go to Settings > Help > Submit Support Logs.- When the email with the logs appears, please include a link to this forum post so we can link the cases together.
