DMX color tuning with Homeworks QSX

Can you do color tuning with the DMX interface on the fly in the app or you just have presets for the lights?

Thank you for your post krassyg.

You are not able to color tune with the DMX on the fly within the app. You are correct, we would need to use the presets predefined. You can however do that for Ketra loads in QSX. Hope this helps!

Not sure about QSX, but the earlier versions of QS had an unintended workaround which I described in an earlier post: if you assign each DMX color as a single channel DMX, you’ll be able to fine tune colors on-the-fly from the app by adjusting the intensity of each channel. Alternatively, you can program a keypad to adjust intensities based on button pushes.

I’ve since moved away from that solution, and instead have created an integration with Hue using 3rd party integration and some scripts,. The Hue app is responsible for the colors of each called scene, and QS just determines when each scene is to be illuminated.
