    inside cabinet

    Can I install Casetta switch inside a cabinet?I want to have Alexa turn on my water recycle pump under my vanity for an hour.Does it need to be visable? or is it line carrier type communication?Chunk

    It's RF, radio waves, so you don't need line of sight. It does not use the power line for signaling.

    Thanks, do you know if it is reasonable to think the radio waves can "see" through the vanity?

    The signal can pass from room to room with no issue. In order to use Alexa, you will also need a Caseta Wireless Smart Bridge.

    I've my Bridge on one corner of my house and a switch at the far end of the house. In a straight line it is going a~33 ft through a floor (hardwood) and two walls.
