Light goes out when fan speed is not max

I have a Caseta PD-6WCL dimmer switch and am using it to power a ceiling fan. The light works fine, but when I turn on the fan the light dims a little bit. If I pull the chain again to lower the fan speed the light starts to pulsate. I tried resetting the switch and now it does the same thing but the light doesn't flash anymore. It just stays out, but you can hear the pulsating like before, but the light doesn't flash anymore. If I put a standard on/off switch the fan and light works perfectly. I have no clue what is going on here.

The 6WCL is not capable of controlling a ceiling fan. You can damage the fan and/or the dimmer.
