    3 way switch with Caseta

I want to install a three way switch. I do not ever need to use one of the two switches, so I do not need to install the Pico remote. My question is can I leave the already installed switch as is and just not use it or do I have to remove it and cap off the wires as instructed in the three way installation Caseta-Pico video on YouTube.I am electrically dumb but I have installed Lutron dimmers and feel this is within my capabilities if I get an answer to this question. Thank you.

Technically... it will work if the unused switch is in the right position. If it gets flipped it would prevent the Caseta switch from operating. I would go with the added insurance of rewiring as outlined in the Caseta instructions.
