I took 4 Serena shades off the wall to paint. They were purchased new in March. They were in the normal full open position and I took the batteries out to disable schedules, and things stayed that way for a few days until the paint job was done. Today I re-installed them and two are not working, and two are working normally.Their motor runs continuously as soon as the last battery is inserted. You can feel the vibration of it running. The shade is tight against the top, consistent with a continuous open. Within a few minutes it gets very hot, hot enough to burn a hand. It does not respond to up/down/set-limit commands, there are no blinking leds and the shade programming button produces no lights. The only control I have now is to install/remove a battery.Would appreciate if anyone can suggest some options here for a fix.The alkaline D-batteries are good and yes they are in the right way. The units have never jammed before and the spooled cable looks ok.
