Using a dimmer before a buck boost transformer

Hi. I have some outdoor lighting (six MR-16 LED lamps, 5W each, 30W in all) that are powered by a buck-boost transformer. I'd like to dim them and my life would be way easier if I could drop something to replace the existing (dumb) switch, which (as one would expect) is before the transformer. Is this possible and/or is it a stupid idea?(I would hope to use a RadioRA2 compatible dimmer, if that matters.)Thank you

Check with the transformer manufacturer to see if they have any recommendations.

The RRD-6ND is a good choice for MLV transformers. The RRD-PRO will do MLV and ELV transformers.
