Thread: Query the status of CCIs on VCRX?

Query the status of CCIs on VCRX?

I have read through the integration specs but can't seem to find a way to query the status of the CCIs on the VCRX using the integration protocol. I have tried action code 9 (to see LED status), using ?DEVICE,46,32,9, and I have also tried using action code 35 (in the documentation this says it is a CCI status query action code) using the command ?DEVICE,46,32,33. I get an ERROR,3 on the 33 action code, and an error on the action 9 (I forget whether it was ERROR,3 or a different one).

I get messages when the CCIs open or close, but I would really like to be able to query their state. Is this possible?

    Thanks

Currently there is not a way to directly query the state of the CCI's on the VCRX unit. Depending on the programming that you have on the inputs you can assign a dummy load to turn on when the input is closed and off when the input is opened. Then by monitoring this dummy load you can determine of the input is opened or closed.

I have been doing that, I was hoping there would be a more elegant solution. Is it possible to add this feature to the request list for an update down the road?

    Thanks
