Software not finding the controller on the network

I am trying to set up a new system. The designer software is not finding the controller on the network. However from the computer that I have the designer software on, if I do a IP scan I find it. Any suggestions?Thank you

Lutron use multi-cast. A lot of routers, especially the nicer ones, disable multi-cast.

In the "find main repeater" window, click on "show advanced." Make sure the gateway and subnet are correct. You can try changing "system communication" (same screen) to "Use IP address." This will only work with a static IP address.

If you have the "Designer" software, it is not intended to commission/activate a system. It is only a design tool. You will need the full software of Essentials/Inclusive.
