    Caseta PD-5NE-WH Lights Flickering

We are and electrical contractor who has a development which uses the Caseta PD-5NE-WH. We install 6 per house and have been doing so for a couple years. These homes have Progress Lighting P8222-28-30K Flush Mount LED fixtures throughout. We have one house that (2) different sets of these lights start to flicker at 50% dimmed. We have changed dimmers, fixtures, and even wiring. Any suggestions on what could cause this?

Verify that the PD-5NE is in forward phase. According to the spec sheet, they want a Triac based forward phase dimmer. I would try replacing with the PD-10NXD if the existing dimmers are in forward phase. Typically, ELV dimmers from Lutron are a MosFET and not a Triac. This may be causing the issue with the fixture.

We can try that but we have at least 500 other houses that have this exact same setup with no issues.

It is possible Progress changed something in their driver. They may consider it insignificant but when it comes to dimming... who knows? Some manufacturers use 3rd party drivers so they don't even know something has changed.

It is also possible that Progress had a bad run. Try swapping with one you know works.

Check for a crossed neutral. Since this is new construction that doesn't seem likely.

Look for something else on the system making noise. I had a house with Nora cans that, when they reached a certain level, would make just about everything in the house flash. They would also trip AFCI breakers. Even AFCI on other circuits!
