    Replacing MA-FQ4FM with PD6WCL

Hey all - I installed an MA-FQ4FM to control the fan on my ceiling fan along side a MACL‑153M in a 2 gang (Basically 2 MACL‑153M and the canopy module). I purchased a PD6WCL Caseta Fan controller to replace the MACL-153M for the fan. After installation, the PD6WCL lights up but is completely unable to control the fan. The other MACL-153M can still control the lights just fine. I tried emailing in for support from Lutron about 2 weeks ago but never heard back. Hoping someone can help me out. Do I just need to remove the canopy from the fan when replacing the MACL-153M or is there something else that I'm missing? Thanks!

To control the fan speed, you would need to use the PD-FSQN fan controller, not the PD-6WCL lighting dimmer, as the PD-6WCL isn't rated to control fan motors. In case you haven't done so already, you will also need to remove the Maestro's fan canopy module from inside the fan as well.

Ack! I did mean the PD-FSQN module! Not sure why I put in the light dimmer model number. So basically it's just removing the canopy module. Perfect! Side note, could I just swap out the MACL-153M with a PD6WCL?

If this is a single pole circuit for the lights (only 1 wall control for the lights) that is correct. You could swap out the MACL-153M with the PD-6WCL.

Yes they are bedroom lights in the fan themselves, no 3 way. Appreciate the responses!
