    New multi-home control

With the new addition of multi-home control, does that mean I can add another smart bridge to my detached garage/shop (over 160ft away) and control it with the same app...or do I need try and extend signal with my current smart bridge? worried about signal over lap

A 2nd bridge would be treated like a 2nd home. You can control them with the same app but you will have to "switch" homes when you want to control the garage. You will also need an Ethernet connection in the garage as the Caseta bridge does not have WiFi.

As part of the initial setup Caseta checks for interference and will select the best channel so there is no worry about overlap. These systems are often installed in apartment type buildings with no issues.
