    WiFi needed at switch location?

Do you need WiFi signal at your dimmer switch location? In order to have it function after it is programmed?

you'll only need to have a hard line connection from the smart bridge to your network. Lutron does not communicate on WiFi- they use a proprietary frequency and protocol called ClearConnect. If you are not using the smart bridge as in your other post, WiFi is still not needed. The switches and Picos can generate their own signals. Effective range is 30 feet, you may find the distance to be greater, depending on the environment.
