MS VPS5M auxiliary button is not working

Hello. Moved in a house which has 5 motion detector sensors in bathrooms. Neither of them detects motion. When trying to press and hold on auxiliary button nothing happens, no lights blinking. Checked 4 out of 5 sensors. When turning on test mode, sensor works, but after exiting test mode no more motion detect. Please help, what could it be? Why auxiliary button is not working? Thank you!

The VPS5 is a vacancy only sensor. It will only turn lights off after there is no motion for the timeout period. Some jurisdictions do not allow you to automatically turn lights on. The OPS5 is the same device with auto-on capability. Even though you can disable the auto-on feature off, you still can't use them in those jurisdictions.

Thanks for replay. Could you please clarify what do you mean under term "jurisdiction" here.

Hello Svetlana,Thank you for your post! The MS-VPS5M is in fact a Vacancy only sensor that will never be able to turn the lighting load on via motion detected from the sensor and only has the ability to turn a lighting load off (Vacancy) from the sensor. We created the vacancy only versions of these sensor controls due to Title 24 in the state of California that essentially states you cannot have a motion detector that triggers lights on for occupancy and can only have one that turns lights off for vacancy. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to assist with the issue you are reporting as the auxiliary button on the right hand side of the tap switch on the MS-VPS series will not toggle any configurations as it has been deactivated through the firmware. Hope this information helps! -JustinF.
