Thread: 3rd party occupancy sensors

    3rd party occupancy sensors

AFAIK the only way to integrate 3rd party sensors into a HWQS program is to wire them to a QSE-IO.

On the other hand the most convenient way is more than often to wire these to CCI inputs on a keypad.

On a related subject, being able to copy and paste CCI programming would save me A LOT of time. Programming conditional stuff on these and not being to copy it to the next one is a PAIN.

    mehuneau,

You are able to use a third party sensor on the CCI inputs on a wired keypad. The sensor must be a dry contact closure.

You will need to program the CCI state changes (Open/Close) in the HomeWorks QS software to reflect the occupancy and vacancy states of the sensor.

Yep, my point exactly. That can't be programmed in the Occupancy tab.

    mehuneau,

Currently, you cannot use the Occupancy tab.

Thank you for the feedback. I will pass this feedback along to our development team as a feature request.
