    Unable to communicate with processor

    Greetings:

I was able to install HW 8.3 on my computer. I opened my 7.4 file and was prompted to update the file to 8.3, which completed successfully. However, the program is telling me that it is unable to communicate with the processor. Any ideas?

Computer and processor are both hard-wired to a network switch. I am still able to communicate with the processor using 7.4.

    zrob_12,

Please ensure your firewalls or security software are turned off temporarily when trying to communicate and program the processors. When you install a new version of HomeWorks QS the computer will see it as a new program. Your firewall may have an exception to let 7.4 pass through but not 8.3 and this may cause the connection issue.

If you create a blank file with two processors in 8.3, are you able to see the processors? If not and still having an issue then please call us while on site to further troubleshoot the issue. 1-800-523-9466.
