    Ceiling fan control with 8ANS

I've got some ceiling fans that are controlled via handheld remote controls with just a mechanical on/off switch.. Usually I leave them on one speed (which the fan remembers) and just turn the wall switch on/off. Is there any good reason I couldn't just put them on an RRD-8ANS? Yes there is the RRD fan controller, but I've got an extra 8ANS. Looking at the specs I don't think there is any reason it wouldn't work.. I've used the 8ANS on bathroom fans with no issues. Thanks in advance

Thanks, I did see that thread but was unclear if you have had success. Can I assume you did?

@scatkins- it should work great if your fan returns to previous state when the switch turns on. I've done it a lot before the fan speed control came out, or when the customer had a DC motor fan.

It works great, and I use it daily.
