    Big *** Fan Haiku 0-10v

Any experience with BAF Haiku running from LMJ 0-10 volt
Spec sheet says will work with

"The Haiku L 0–10 V driver offers the convenience of integrating
Haiku L fans with a home or building automation system
or virtually any 3rd party 0–10 V dimmer using an industry standard
    protocol."

"• 0–10 V driver “sinks or sources” voltage — Standard ANSI
    E1.3
    • Compatible with any 0–10 V “sinking/sourcing” dimmer
(Lutron NovaT — NTSTV-DV available upon request"

I have a BAF running on a NT dimmer. The adjustment isn't as smooth as I would like. This may be because of the fan size (8' blades). I find 10v dimming performance in general to be unacceptable.

I'm wondering if the 0-10v portion is linear/more linear than the standard curve Lutron uses. Just like how the LMJ can dim a 0-10v Infratech heater, but you end up needing to set the low end trim to something like 40% and the high need to 89% to get the "proper" dimming from the heater. Maybe something similar for the BAF.

I'm using 2 lmj's on a BAF Essence & Light Kit. Works well enough for my needs.

I'm eager to see how this works for you. I have a BAF/Haiku outdoor fan with light, and the outdoor fans don't come with WiFi. I am currently just using the included remote, but intend to switch to 0-10v eventually.

    Thanks all
Told the contractor to go for it. I'll give you an update when installed in a few weeks.

Good timing Mike Looking at is now. Works fine. I have noticed the response time has a lag. Don't think it's a Lutron thing. When I first turn it on it goes through some kind of start up cycle. Does a little hurky jerky back and forth thing then spins. From pushing button to spin was 15 sec. Not what I'm used to with most fans. Same lag just turning it up or down. May confuse some owners. Other than that at high speed puts out some air. This costumer want's it to run 24/7 so I have a time clock once a day to turn it back on in case someone turns it off. Starting after a stop does the same thing. Doesn't matter how long I wait. Having problems attaching video or pic. Link open up a new LSC front page.

Interesting. My stock Haiku fans do the same thing on startup. Maybe not 15 seconds, but 5-8 seconds from turning it on to where it starts spinning in earnest isn't uncommon.
