Question Tech Lighting Entra LED - 6NA or 6ND?

I am working on a project with about 100 dimmers and 70 of these Entra 3" LED cans.

I know the 6NA will work per their dimmer compatibility chart, but I am wondering if the much cheaper 6ND would work just as well for this fixture?

    Thank you for your help

About 1/2 of the dimmers they list are forward phase and about 1/2 are reverse phase (ELV). LED drivers are designed for forward or reverse phase dimming. Many manufacturers list both types of dimmers for the same device. It drives me crazy! Anyway....

Since Tech Lighting no Lutron have tested the fixture with the 6ND, it's up to you. I would get a few of the fixtures and test them in-house. You will get different performance with 1 fixture vs 7 fixtures.

I would tell the customer, "We may be able to save you $5,000 on the dimmers by doing a $500 test. There is a 75% chance the 6ND will work."

Thank you, Randy. I've ordered a couple of test fixtures and will report back here with the findings.
