Control HQR-3PD-1 with dimmer
I’m replacing a couple of wall sconces with table lamps. Instead of using the tabletop dimmers on the lamps I’d like to retain bedside in-wall dimmers. If I use HQR=3PD-1 units, can they be controlled by, say, an RD unit or other maestro-style dimmer? I know I could use a mounted Pico or keypad but I’d like to keep the style consistent with the rest of the controls nearby.

I should mention that one reason to not use a Pico mounted in the wall is that everything is in Limestone color, and I don't think the Pico comes in Limestone.

The RD uses line voltage to communicate with a smart dimmer like the 6NA, et. al. It doesn't have any other way to communicate. The 3PD is a plug-in device.
You could put/keep a HQ Maestro dimmer in the wall and program the dimmer so that anytime it turns on it turns on the lamp dimmer. Because the in-wall dimmer won't have a load you will probably need a neutral dimmer or a neutral switch. This will only give you on/off control anyway.

BTW, most Pico remotes are now available in biscuit, midnight and snow. Biscuit would not be too far of a stretch from Limestone.
