    Nest Protect & Caseta

I would like to set up my lights to turn on for a low sim while passing by nest protect smoke detectors. These already have a moth ion detection light and I know they are detecting motion for smart/away but I can’t seem to set them for individual motion to trigger a routine or action of turning on my lights for late night pathways.

    Any thoughts?

I don't believe that Nest has exposed the motion on a protect via their API. I cannot access it through Control4, either. Motion events are triggered from Nest via the cameras.

Nest thermostats also have built in motion detectors.

This motion is also not included in the API, from my understanding. It is used by Nest for the Home/Away Assist and for Farsight. To access this, would would need to disable the phone location for the Nest app, but then run into the situation where the homeowner can be at home, with the thermostat set back into Away mode. Not an optimal customer experience.
