    Maestro Companion dimmer

Curious to know why companion dimmers do not come with the same LEDs on the left side as the main dimmers??? Any plans to have Companion dimmers with the same look and feel as the main dimmers?
    Thanks

The companion dimmer is a dumb device. It has no way to send or receive data to update LED status. It is able to communicate with the master dimmer through a line voltage connection (the blue screw/pigtail). The advantage is, it uses traditional 3-way/4-way wiring. The disadvantage is there is no LED feedback. Adding communication would significantly increase the price of the device.

The Maestro line has been out for a couple of decades. I don't believe Lutron has any plans to change their basic design.
